Jason Moreira

Jason practices Brazilian Jiu-Jistu since 5 years of age under the influence and inspiration of his father Eduardo Telles, aka The Turtle Master. Jason’s Jiu-Jitsu history started at TT Jiu-Jitsu, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the first studio ever owned by Telles and his former partner and legend Fernando Terere. Jason’s first instructor was Carlos Galvao, a brown belt under Professor Telles and Professor Terere. By the time Jason got promoted to his orange belt at the age of 11, his father moved to California, so Jason got kind of dishearten in keep practicing Jiu-Jitsu.

Five years later, at the age of 16, Jason moved to California to live with his father, reencountering his passion for BJJ. After turning 17 years old, and showing improvement and interest in the sport, Jason got promoted to his blue belt, and so started helping with the Kids BJJ classes as an Assistant Coach until he became one of the kids’ beloved Head Coaches. Today Jason has achieved his brown belt and is well experienced in both training and competition scenes. He loves taking his students to local tournaments, supporting and motivating them along their Jiu-Jitsu journey. If you know Coach Jason you know he loves his job.
